Fundamental Healing, P.C. operates under the prescribing authority of Dr. Laina Feinstein.  Dr. Feinstein graduated from Medical School in 1983  Summa Cum-Laude, completed her Internal Medicine residency at Sinai Hospital of Detroit, and has thirty years of experience practicing Internal Medicine.

Gretchen Perry-Emery is a board certified family nurse practitioner who pursued an advance degree to help others overcome challenges similar to those she has faced.  Her personal experience in healing herself and family members from diseases like autism spectrum disorder, Chronic Lyme, and other autoimmune states has helped her develop a special empathy and an extra measure of compassion when working with patients.

In 1994 Gretchen received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Michigan State University, and as a new RN, spent time working on the Maternal Child Health unit at Royal Oak Beaumont. After a few years she entered the Pharmaceutical industry and learned about clinical trials, competitive selling and marketing.  In 2005, autism hit her personally, and when westernized medicine could not provide the answers she was seeking, she began to dig deeper, knowing in her heart recovery was possible. It was then that she was introduced to functional medicine, and over time her knowledge and passion for this new kind of medicine grew.

In 2015 Gretchen graduated with a 4.0 from Walden University’s accelerated MSN-FNP program and achieved dual board certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurse Credentialing Center. Gretchen is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others and is an active member of the American Nurses Association, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Institute for Functional Medicine, and NoGMO4Michigan- which advocates for the labeling of genetically modified foods. When she is not working, she enjoys running, biking, spending time with her children, and doing mission work.

Gretchen approaches healing from a holistic perspective, using minimally invasive approaches and biomedical modalities first. She is persistent and inquisitive in the identification of root causes, and possesses a solid knowledge of functional medicine, nutrigenomics, epigenetics, overriding SNPs of methylation/detoxification pathways, the use of pharmaceutical grade supplements and compounded pharmaceuticals to treat dis-ease. Gretchen is dedicated to bringing wellness naturally to patients, and is excited to help those who have lost hope find it again, through the art of holistic healing- based on a Functional Medicine paradigm.
